Post-Graduate Certificates

Graceland’s programs are accompanied by clinical or practical experience, which allows the master’s prepared RN to apply theory and current research to specialized professional practice in the nurse practitioner or nurse educator role

Students admitted to an online certificate program are not matriculated for an academic degree. A certificate is awarded upon completion of the education requirements.

“At Graceland, they did not waste my time with busy work. They made every effort to ensure each assignment was concise, to the point, worthwhile, and a good learning opportunity. This is truly the thing I most appreciated about my time at Graceland….who has time for fluff??? Not me!”

– Leah Torbett ’14

Our online graduate programs are designed to provide working RNs the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in nursing through the completion of a combination of online cohort courses, on-campus focus sessions, and faculty- and preceptor-guided practicum experiences in the student’s local community.

Over the course of our online Master of Science in Nursing program, students are required to attend a two-day focus session located at Graceland University’s School of Nursing in Independence, Missouri. The Master of Science in Nursing focus session is scheduled in conjunction with the Advanced Practice Competencies Lab.
