Online Programs

Online Program Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

    In order to be considered for acceptance to Graceland’s online bachelor of nursing program, an applicant must:

    • Current RN licensure in the United States
    • Minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average on all previous course work. (there is no time limit on when science courses may have been completed)
    • Strongly recommend two years of experience as an RN
    1. Please complete the appropriate RN-BSN application.
    2. Official transcript(s) in a sealed envelope — We need ALL transcripts from all schools attended. If you attended five different schools, we will need five transcripts.
    3. License verification – We will verify your nursing license and expiration date and include that in your application file. If we have difficulty finding this information, you may need to provide a PDF to verify your license. In most cases, this should not cost anything.
    4. As of April 20, 2022, Graceland no longer requires an application fee..

    If you will be seeking financial aid, you must complete a FAFSA form. Go to studentaid.gov. The Graceland University School of Nursing’s school code is 001866. This should be done at your earliest convenience.

    For International Students Only:

    Complete steps 1-4 above, if applicable.
    Prior to consideration for admission, students who received their undergraduate degree outside of the United States or Canada must submit a CGFNS evaluation with a GPA equivalency and a TOEFL score of 62 or higher on the online exam; an ELTS equivalent score of 6.0; or a DuoLingo equivalent score of 90, and GPA equivalency. For further information or assistance, you may contact CGFNS at www.cgfns.org.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration

    In order to be considered for acceptance to Graceland’s online business programs, an applicant must:

    • submit an application form;
    • be a high school graduate or have a GED high school equivalency; certificate/diploma; qualify in two of the following three criteria:
      • Rank in the upper 50% of the class;
      • Have a grade point average of 2.50 or above based on a 4.00 system;
      • Have either a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or a minimum combined SAT score of 960.

    ** Applicants who do not meet the above criteria can submit a letter along with their application materials describing how they can be successful at Graceland University. Please share relevant career experience and other qualifications that will enable future success as a Graceland student.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership

    In order to be considered for acceptance to Graceland’s Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership program, an applicant must:

    • submit an application form;
    • be a high school graduate or have a GED high school equivalency; certificate/diploma; qualify in two of the
    • following three criteria:
      • Rank in the upper 50% of the class;
      • Have a grade point average of 2.50 or above based on a 4.00 system;
      • Have either a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or a minimum combined SAT score of 960.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Organizational Leadership Dual Major Program

    In order to be considered for acceptance to Graceland’s Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Organizational Online Dual Major program, an applicant must:

    • submit an application form;
    • be a high school graduate or have a GED high school equivalency; certificate/diploma; qualify in two of the following three criteria:
      • Rank in the upper 50% of the class;
      • Have a grade point average of 2.50 or above based on a 4.00 system;
      • Have either a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or a minimum combined SAT score of 960.

  • Master of Science in Nursing — RN to MSN

    To apply for the Master of Science in Nursing — RN to MSN program you must have the following:

    • an associates degree in nursing (ADN) or Diploma from an NLNAC, ACEN or CCNE accredited program;
    • a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the U.S. and its territories;
    • a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.

  • Master of Science in Nursing (FNP, AGACNP, and PMHNP concentrations)

    To apply for the Master of Science in Nursing program with a FNP, AGACNP, and PMHNP concentration, you must have the following:

    • a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an NLNAC, ACEN or CCNE accredited program. For students with foreign transcripts, an evaluation* is required with GPA equivalency and TOEFL score;
    • a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the U.S. and its territories;
    • a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or above in the BSN cumulative GPA.

  • Master of Arts in Religion

    To apply for the Master of Arts in Religion program you must have the following:

    • earned a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum
    • cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale, or the equivalent from a non-U.S. institution;
    • a completed application form which is available from the seminary website;
      official transcripts of all course work.

  • Master of Arts in Peace and Social Transformation

    To apply for the Master of Arts in Peace and Social Transformation program you must have the following:

    • earned a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale, or the equivalent from a non-U.S. institution;
    • a completed application form which is available from the seminary website;
    • official transcripts of all course work.

  • Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance

    To apply for the Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance program you must have the following:

    • a GPA of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0-point scale;
    • a bachelor’s degree;
    • a completed Graduate application

  • Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics

    To apply for the Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics program you must have the following:

    • a minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale;
    • a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university;
    • successful completion (a grade of “C” or better) in the following courses:
      • Calculus (minimum of 8 credit hours);
      • Statistics (minimum of 3 or 4 credit hours);
      • Programming courses ( minimum of 6 credit hours);
      • A science course with a laboratory (minimum of 4 credit hours).

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice

    To apply for the Doctor of Nursing Practice program you must have the following:

    • a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an NLNAC or CCNE accredited program;
    • a Master’s degree in nursing or related field from a nationally accredited program;
    • a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in prior graduate-level coursework.

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy

    To apply for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program you must have the following:

    • Completion of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
    • Cumulative and prerequisite GPA of 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
    • Two (2) professional references.
    • Completion of a minimum of forty (40) hours of observation, volunteer, or work experience in a variety of practice settings with a licensed physical therapist.
    • For all applicants for whom English is not their first language, TOEFL (score of 62), IELTS (equivalent score of 6.0), or Duolingo (equivalent score of 90) exams will be required.
    • Two personal statements/supplemental essays.
    • Completion of an admissions online interview with the DPT Admissions Coordinator by submitting real-time responses to pre-recorded interview questions.
    • Completion of a criminal background check prior to matriculation.
    • The citizenship types eligible for admission are U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Your Online Experience

Through our online portal, Brightspace, students in our distance learning programs receive the same individual attention, care and interaction as those in an in-person classroom. However, if you do need to go to campus for any reason, all of our online programs are run out of our Independence, Missouri location.
