Your Future in Allied Healthcare is Waiting

An allied health major is ideal for those with an interest in rehabilitative or sports medicine. It is for anyone looking to work in healthcare who isn’t interested in medicine sciences or nursing. Almost 60% of the U.S. healthcare workforce can be considered a part of allied health and is essential to the wellness and delivery of the healthcare industry as a whole. Although the profession differs from nursing or medicine, the same scientific principles are taught and used in our Allied Health degree plan and in the workforce.

The Bachelor of Science in Allied Health program is designed both for students who want to immediately enter the professional world upon graduation as well as students entering post-graduate degree programs in the fields of athletic training, chiropractic, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other allied health professions.

Upon graduation, completed with your Allied Health degree, you will have an in-depth understanding of: biomechanics, functional anatomy, nutrition, and movement science. Depending upon your chosen track, you may also learn about exercise physiology, evidence based research and application, motor learning, coaching, exercise program planning and implementation, and more.
