Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Professor Perkins is a Graceland alumni and is thrilled to be teaching General Chemistry workshop and lab, Organic Chemistry Lab and General Organic Biochemistry lecture and lab. Having the opportunity to teach in the Natural and Physical Sciences gives Perkins the opportunity to contribute to an inclusive and diverse learning community at Graceland University. Perkins strives to create a welcoming and interactive learning environment where students from all backgrounds can grow as both learners and individuals.

Perkins’ courses have lectures, labs and workshops built into their curriculums. Perkins is excited to use the lecture/workshop structure allows for students to have more time with her to understand the materials discussed in class. Perkins has a great appreciation for the sciences and hopes to lead her classes in a way that allows her students to grow their own passion and pursuits in the sciences.
