Division of Health and Movement Science

The Division of Health and Movement Science includes majors that relate to the health and well-being of individuals within the context of social development. The Division of Health and Movement Science majors of Allied Health and Health and Movement Science are grounded in the liberal arts, incorparte evidence-based practice and theory, extensive internships, fieldwork and practical application related to their specific disciplines. The Allied Health Degree prepares students pursuing pre-professional programs including pre-physical therapy, pre-occupational therapy, pre-chiropractic, athletic training, sports medicine, sports performance, strength and conditioning coaching, and research. The Health and Movement Science Major prepares students for careers in coaching, health, health education, physical education, recreation, teaching and wellness.
