Assistant Professor of Health and Movement Science

Natasha Gourley joined Graceland University’s Health and Movement Science Department as an Assistant Professor in August 2025. Natasha teaches Intro to Kinesiology, Corrective Exercise, Personal and Community Health as well as BLS CPR AED and First Aid. Prior to this role, she served as an assistant athletic trainer for Graceland, beginning in November 2024, where she was the primary athletic trainer for women’s flag football and men’s volleyball.

Before her time at Graceland, Gourley worked extensively in athletic training across both secondary and collegiate levels. She served as the athletic trainer for a local community school, supporting middle school and high school athletes in football, cross country, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track and field, golf, baseball, softball, dance, and cheerleading. She also worked at Southwestern Community College, covering basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball.

Gourley holds a Master of Arts in Kinesiology from Fresno Pacific University (2013) and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Iowa State University (2007). She is a licensed in the state of Iowa and nationally certified paramedic, with clinical experience as well as emergency rooms and ambulance services since 2010.

In addition to her academic and clinical roles, Natasha is the owner of RC Healthcare Training LLC, established in 2020. She is an experienced instructor for a wide range of emergency care courses, including BLS for Healthcare Providers, Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Stop the Bleed. She is also an American Heart Association Instructor Trainer, a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner, and holds a Myofascial Cupping Certification.

A native of Clearfield, Iowa, and a graduate of Mount Ayr Community School (2003), Natasha continues to reside in Clearfield with her husband Mitch and their two sons, Tytan and Brogan. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her children’s athletic pursuits and spending time with family.
