Graceland University Associate Professor of Communication Raquel Moreira, PhD, received the National Communication Association’s GLBTQ Monograph of the Year Award for her essay, “Bicha Travesti Worldmaking: Linn da Quebrada’s Disidentificatory Performances of Intersectional Queerness.” Moreira’s article was published early this year in Queer Studies in Media and Popular Culture’s special issue on transnational media. She will be officially presented with this award at a virtual presentation in November.
