Admission Requirements for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program

1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution. The Bachelor’s degree can be in any field of study.
   1. Previous coursework in business, marketing, accounting, economics, and finance are highly recommended. If you have not successfully completed the above courses, you may be required to do so prior to full admission to the MBA program. The MBA Program Director will work with you individually to create a course completion plan as needed.
2. Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. If your GPA falls below this threshold, you will be asked to submit one or more of the following pending a review of your transcript(s). Note that we do not accept any students with a GPA under a 2.5..
   1. 1. Two Letters of Recommendation – These letters should come from professional contacts, such as supervisors or colleagues, who can speak to your qualifications, work ethic, and leadership potential.
      2. Written Statement of Purpose – This should explain your motivations for pursuing an MBA, career goals, and how this specific MBA program aligns with your personal and/or career objectives.
      3. 440+ on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or 142+ on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
      4. Portfolio of Work- This portfolio should showcase your skills and experiences.

Transfer Student Information

If you are currently enrolled, or have previously been enrolled, in a graduate level program, you may be eligible to apply to the Graceland MBA as a transfer student.

• Transfer Credits: You may be eligible to transfer a maximum of 9 credit hours for equivalent coursework.
• You must have maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for consideration and be able to demonstrate success in relevant coursework.
• Three+ years of relevant professional experience may strengthen your transfer application, especially if it aligns with the goals of the MBA program.

International Student Information

Official Transcripts. You must provide all official transcripts from your previous institutions.

• University transcripts may be evaluated through ECE, INCRED, Scholaro, or WES. You are responsible for any fees associated with the credential evaluation.
  • For ECE, select the Course by Course option. Designate Graceland University as the recipient.
  • For INCRED, select the Course by Course option. Designate Graceland University as the recipient.
  • For Scholaro, select the Course by Course option. Designate Graceland University as the recipient.
  • For WES, select the WES ICAP Course-by-Course (with GPA & course-levels) option. Designate Graceland University as the recipient.

English Proficiency: 

• Submit ONE of the following official test scores to demonstrate English proficiency from TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or Pearson PTE Academic. Minimum test scores are:
  • TOEFL iBT: 4.0/6.0, no sub-score may be below 3.5 (before January 21, 2026, the minimum score is 67)
  • IELTS: 6.0, no sub-score below 5.5
  • DuoLingo: 100, no sub-score below 85
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 51
• If you completed your secondary school education from one of the following countries, the English Proficiency score requirement will be waived:
  • Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Canada (except Quebec), Cayman Islands, Dominica, England, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland (Northern) Ireland (Republic of), Jamaica, Lesotho, Liberia, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Montserrat, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Scotland, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Swaziland (Eswatini), Trinidad and Tobago.
• If your previous college education was from a school in the U.S., you may be exempt from submitting language proficiency scores.

Consider the Visa implications of transferring to Graceland’s MBA program. Ensure that you comply with immigration regulations.

• Current Visa Status. International students MUST have a valid visa status. A Transfer Eligibility Form (SEVIS Form I-20 or DS-2019) may be required for the transfer process.
• Visa Transfer Process. You will have to coordinate with your current institution to release your SEVIS record to Graceland.
• Financial Proof. You must provide proof of sufficient funds (bank statements, scholarship award letters, etc.) to cover tuition and living expenses for the duration of your study at Graceland.
