Graceland University Assistant Professor of Art Karen Gergely, MFA

Graceland University Division Chair Assistant Professor of Art Karen Gergely, MFA, presented “Cultivating Social Engagement at a Small, Rural Liberal Arts University and Beyond” at the 108th College Art Association (CAA) Conference: Advancing Art and Design, in Chicago Feb. 12-15, 2020. Gergely attended many presentations and roundtables on pedagogy and participated in a Risograph workshop on digital printmaking. As part of her work on the CAA Education Committee, she has taken the leadership role in managing the organization’s upcoming fourth season of CAA Conversations Pedagogy Podcasts devoted to professional development topics. The podcasts serve as a resource for professionals across the spectrum in the visual arts and are available at this link, on SoundCloud and on iTunes.
