July 22, 2025 | Georgia Seagraves, MS, ’21
This milestone reflects the longstanding and deeply connected relationship between Graceland University and Community of Christ — a partnership rooted in shared values and mutual support. Many church members find their way to Graceland, where their faith and potential are nurtured, and in turn, they often go on to serve and lead within the church and beyond.
BA, Psychology
Frizzell steps into his apostolic role from his position as Director of Human Resource Ministries. He’s been deeply involved with church leadership at multiple levels — serving as mission center president, dean of Community of Christ Seminary, and a member of the World Church Leadership Council. With ethical and theological insight, Frizzell brings a heart for marginalized communities and a vision for living “Christ’s peace” through justice, repentance, and wholeness in congregations and beyond.
BA, Speech Communications
Chosen as an apostolic designate in early 2025, Hnatyshyn brings fresh energy and intergenerational leadership. With years of volunteer service — across both congregation and mission center levels — she embodies stewardship, encourages generosity, and articulates a hopeful vision of Community of Christ’s journey into the future.
BA Honors, Information Technology
Also announced as an apostle designate in February 2025, McAdam is celebrated for her bridge-building leadership. Through spiritual discernment and compassionate presence, she advocates for those marginalized by policy or circumstance. Known for skillful administration and joyful optimism, she models the Enduring Principles in daily practice.
MA, Christian Ministries
Moving from the Council of Presidents of Seventy, Wade joins the Quorum as an apostle recognized for deeply contextual ministry. His work across diverse cultures has equipped him to lead with entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and a profound empathy. Wade’s tenderness and conviction promise a ministry marked by compassion and creative engagement.
MA, Religion; BA, Business Administration
A U.S. Field bishop and team leader, Welch is recognized for her relational leadership and missional insight. She has a track record of connecting people across backgrounds and aligning resources to serve Christ’s mission. As she transitions to full-time apostolic work, Welch is expected to guide the church through collaborative discernment, prophetic visioning, and nurturing community engagement.
MA, Religion; BA, Music
Also transitioning from the Seventy, Williams brings gifts in intercultural communication, music, and a passion for global solidarity. He is positioned to orchestrate a richer mosaic of cultural voices in the church and to cultivate Spirit-led communities of inclusion and peace, supporting diverse expressions of faith and identity.
These leaders stand ready to guide Community of Christ into its next chapter of mission — anchored in peace, enriched by cultural diversity, and animated by disciplined leadership. For Graceland University alumni and the broader church family, this moment is a celebration: six of our own have been entrusted with global apostolic ministry. Their journey enriches both the university’s legacy and the unfolding story of Christ’s peace in action.
