Academic Honors Day

You're the kind of creative, motivated, high-achieving student that Graceland University is looking for. That's why we're asking you to join us at one of our Academic Honors Days to learn more about where your talents can take you at Graceland.

Academic Honors Day is an opportunity for high school seniors and transfer students with a 3.25 or higher GPA and a 21 or higher ACT (SAT equivalent) to come to Graceland's Lamoni campus and be rewarded for their academic achievement. By participating in Academic Honors Day, students who attend classes on the Lamoni campus can guarantee themselves a scholarship renewable for up to four years. Students with a 3.75 or higher GPA and a 27 or higher ACT (SAT equivalent) may compete for a full-tuition scholarship.

The day begins at 9 a.m. in the Shaw Atrium with registration/continental breakfast. Throughout the day, students will get a chance to

  • Meet current Graceland students and ask questions about campus life
  • Talk to professors, coaches, and staff about Graceland’s academic, athletic, and artistic programs
  • Get useful information about financial aid and scholarships from Student Financial Services
  • Learn more about Graceland’s Honors Program by interacting with honors students and Honors Program faculty
  • Enjoy a typical student lunch in the Commons

The duration of the day consists of rotations to include

  • interviews
  • a student panel
  • one-on-one financial aid discussion
  • student group project or a parent panel for those who have chosen to attend

In addition, there may be opportunities to tour campus, meet with available coaches, or audition for a performing arts or athletic team.

Graceland University’s Academic Honors Days will be held on November 16, 2019, February 1, 2020 and March 21, 2020.
