Current Role:
Liam Smith is currently a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Personal Trainer at J.E.T Training, a high-performance gym located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Liam’s day-to-day work involves personal and semi-private training sessions with adults, focusing on improving their fitness and achieving their health goals. In the evenings, he trains athletes ranging from third graders to collegiate athletes, helping them develop strength, agility, and confidence to excel in their sports.
Through his dedication and expertise, Liam has become an integral part of J.E.T Training, contributing to the success and growth of countless clients. His passion for fitness and coaching reflects his deep commitment to fostering health and athletic excellence in his community.
Graceland Journey:
Liam graduated from Graceland University in the spring of 2021, earning a major in Allied Health and minors in Sport Management and Coaching.
Campus Life:
During his first two years, Liam lived on Powell House in the residence halls, where he found a sense of community and enjoyed participating in fun activities like intramural sports. For his junior and senior years, he moved into the on-campus apartments, continuing to build connections and enjoying campus life.
Activities and Honors:
Liam was an active member of the Men’s Soccer team and served in leadership roles within Residence Life. As Assistant to the Hall Director during his sophomore year and an On-Campus Apartment Manager during his junior year, he developed crucial interpersonal and communication skills. These positions taught him how to handle challenges, mediate conflicts, and support his peers—skills he now applies in his professional career.
Graceland’s Impact:
Moving to a new country for college taught Liam independence and adaptability, essential skills that set him up for success. Graceland’s high-quality teaching, the flexibility to pursue minors, and the comprehensive general education curriculum equipped him with a broad knowledge base and the tools to excel in his career.
