Christopher Doering brings nearly twenty years of experience in public education to the students of Graceland University. Beginning his career as a substitute teacher and advancing to principal, Chris has served in a wide range of roles teaching and mentoring students both academically and in essential life skills. With eight years of experience teaching fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade mathematics, and a decade as a middle school and upper elementary administrator, Chris has a deep understanding of what high-quality instruction looks and sounds like. Today, he is passing these proven frameworks and methodologies on to future distinguished educators at Graceland.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northwest Missouri State University, a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts from Park University, and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from William Woods University. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Evangel University.
Teaching future teachers is Chris’s passion. He currently serves as the School of Education Site Director at Graceland’s Independence Campus, where he looks forward to positively influencing a growing number of future educators as the program continues to expand.
Outside of education, Chris can likely be found fishing, working in the yard, or alongside his wife watching their two sons compete on the baseball field or basketball court.
