Maria Metcalf has worked in International Education since 2015 in a variety of roles including admissions, recruitment, and working with current international students. She values opportunities for students to further their education, give back to the community, and learn both inside and outside of the classroom. One of Maria’s favorite parts of her work is seeing a student’s growth from the time they arrive on campus to graduation and watching them take advantage of the wide range of opportunities around them.

Prior to Graceland, Maria earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Upper Iowa University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, International Studies, and TESOL. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Global Affairs from the University of Oklahoma in December 2025.

Maria is originally from Simpsonville, Kentucky, and has lived in Iowa, Oregon, Ohio, and Spain. She currently resides in Lamoni, Iowa.
