Brittany holds a Doctorate of Ministry in Transformational Leadership from Boston University School of Theology, a Masters in Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from Graceland University. Her areas of graduate study and continued research are in world religions, interfaith engagement, spiritual leadership, sacred poetry, religious mystics, and the relationship between art and spirituality.

Having worked in college chaplaincy at Princeton University, Boston University, and now Bates College, Brittany roots her ministry in hospitality and accompaniment-creating warm, inclusive spaces for students to be exactly who they are and to build meaningful relationships. As Multifaith Chaplain at Bates College, Brittany supports religious and spiritual life as well as designs pluralistic programs that bring students from across the spiritual spectrum into shared spaces of reflection and connection. Her work as a college chaplain has centered around social justice, community building, silence/stillness, spiritual friendship, interfaith dialogue, and creative spiritual practices. Brittany is currently is a member of the Community of Christ Seminary Advisory Board, the Association for Chaplaincy and Spiritual Life in Higher Education, and is an ordained elder in the Community of Christ; she has previously served on the executive board of the National Association for College and University Chaplains and the Community of Christ Theology Formation Team.

Brittany lives in the magical state of Maine with her partner and two small children and spends treasured free moments painting sacred landscapes, hiking by the ocean, journaling, and baking scones with her sous-chef toddler.
