Graceland University Assistant Professor of English Catherine Clifford, PhD

Graceland University Assistant Professor of English Catherine Clifford, PhD, wrote the chapter “‘The old name is fresh about me’: Architectural Mimesis and Court Spaces in All is True,” which has been published in Cambridge University Press’ new book collection Performances at Court in the Age of Shakespeare. The collection considers how court spectacles and their material conditions shaped dramatic writing in the early modern period. Clifford’s essay analyzes the intersections between Shakespeare’s play about Henry VIII, All is True and Whitehall Palace.
