Swarms are informal, alumni-led gatherings designed to bring Yellowjackets together, strengthen connections, and share updates about Graceland. Alumni Board members and volunteers serve as ambassadors of the university when hosting these events.
Swarm may be hosted by an Alumni Board member or approved volunteer when:
A Swarm Box will be provided when an Alumni Board member is present
When a member of the Alumni Board of Directors (ABOD) or an approved volunteer agrees to host a Swarm event, they are encouraged to invite alumni, friends of the university, and prospective students or families in their area.

Swarm events are designed to be alumni-led gatherings that strengthen relationships within the Graceland community, with university participation added when appropriate and aligned with institutional priorities. If the host wishes to invite a member of the Board of Trustees, a university administrator, coach, or other Graceland representative, the ABOD member must first coordinate with their Advancement team liaison before extending the invitation.
Each Swarm host may receive a Swarm Box containing materials to support the event.
