Allie teaches in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program and oversees all courses. She specifically teaches Acute Care I, Advanced Practice Procedures, and the final practicum course. Allie is an actively practicing acute care nurse practitioner and teaches these courses to help provide Graceland students with applicable, evidence-based approaches for being a practicing NP.

Allie is very interested in critical care, specifically neurological critical care. She has spent the entirety of her nursing career (RN and NP) in the Neurological ICU at local hospitals. She also has a background in Emergency Medicine. She specifically enjoys the rapidly evolving climate and constant improvements to patient care that occur in the critical care environment.

I strive to promote learning and education that is translational into practice. Nurse practitioners are some of the most versatile professionals in medicine and I find it important to equip students with the ability to succeed in any role.
