The world of nursing is constantly changing, and Graceland is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date programs and content possible. We take great pride in having an exceptional faculty who review our curriculum on an ongoing basis to ensure that each student is not simply meeting the requirements for nursing school, but getting the best education possible. All nursing faculty are licensed as registered or advanced practice nurses. Faculty maintains clinical expertise through clinical practice, professional continuing education and faculty development activities. Many faculty hold additional certification in specialty practice areas.
We also understand the needs of the busy, working adult student, which is why we developed our online school for nursing programs to provide the most flexibility possible. In fact, we were one of the pioneers in distance learning. Each student has a program consultant dedicated to their success throughout our program. We also have a faculty advisor ready to counsel students as necessary.
It is easy to say that we have a great program, but we have an important honor to back it up. Among nursing schools in Missouri, our graduate program is tied for first place, while nationwide it ranks in the top 10, according to U.S. News & World Report. This ranking is determined by a variety of factors, including student engagement, faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, admissions selectivity, affordability and ratings by peer institutions.
We are also very proud that many of our applicants come to us from referrals from alumni, fellow nurses and others who have seen Graceland graduates in action. Please click on the programs below for more information.
Every state in the U.S. creates its own specific regulations about online enrollment of the students who live within the state. Some states require fees and/or application efforts that require a considerable investment of university resources. In an effort to maintain a reasonable tuition rate, Graceland’s nursing program does not currently accept students who live in Kentucky, Maryland, New York, North Carolina or Tennessee.
Graceland accepts students from Texas, but is not regulated in Texas under Chapter 132 of the Texas Higher Education Code.
Graceland University is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission to provide practice experiences in Washington State for RN to BSN, MSN/FNP, MSN/Nursing Education, and DNP programs.
Graceland University has been approved by Iowa to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
