Assistant Professor of Psychology

Graceland University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus. Specialty interest is open: however, the candidate should be able to teach widely across the Psychology curriculum, sharing responsibilities for Developmental, Social/Personality, and Abnormal Psychology. This position begins August 2021.

The 4/4 teaching load includes both introductory courses and upper-division courses based on the candidate’s expertise that may appeal to both majors and non-majors. Other duties include, but are not limited to, advising students, serving on division and university committees, continued professional development, and service

The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence and a commitment to undergraduate liberal arts teaching, as well as willingness to explore interdisciplinary connections, especially with Sociology, Criminal Justice, and/or Education. Experience teaching and supporting undergraduate research desired. Doctorate preferred; ABD considered. Doctorate required for promotion and tenure.
