Assistant Professor of Health and Movement Science

Graceland University’s Department of Health and Movement Science is seeking an Assistant Professor of Health and Movement Science with expertise in exercise science for a tenure track position starting August 1, 2023.

We are looking for a motivated faculty member who can contribute to our curriculum by teaching courses in health and movement science and allied health. The teaching load is 24 hours per year within the Health and Movement Science and Allied Health majors, with a focus on Exercise Science (exercise physiology, performance enhancement, corrective exercise).

Applicants with a terminal degree in the areas of Health and/or Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology are preferred. ABD and Masters in related disciplines will be considered. Specialty certification in strength and conditioning (e.g., CSCS) is desirable. The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence.

Responsibilities will include:

• Teaching courses in the department of Health and Movement Science
• Advising undergraduate students
• Committee assignments for the university
