In the past decade, the field of education as a career path has undergone profound changes, and these changes are certain to continue into the foreseeable future. This means that preparing to be a successful teacher in the 21st century is going to require skills and perspectives that did not exist before. While not all aspects of what the future holds for educators is clear, some important aspects are going to be essential, and GSOE emphasizes these throughout your course of study to ensure you will be prepared for whatever the future holds.

GSOE is widely recognized for its utilization of technology and level of commitment to helping all students succeed in their career paths as a reflection of the extraordinary caring consistently demonstrated by its faculty. Each of these foster greater flexibility, a willingness to solve problems through unconventional means while sustaining the highest standards throughout since there will inevitably be greater demands placed on teachers in the future. In short, GSOE stands out from the crowd because we are student centered, mindful of a rapidly-changing future, and prepared to help you succeed in ways that you won’t find in many programs.
