Finances and Financial Aid
Graceland staff applied for and received Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds from the Department of Education.
Graceland has signed and returned the Certification and Agreement and will provide 50% of the funds received to students in the form of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students. Graceland received $573,600 for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
Graceland followed Department of Education guidelines and recommendations for release of these funds. Students must have been enrolled during Spring 2020 and eligible for federal financial. Amounts ranged from $300 to $1,000 based on a demonstrated financial need as expressed by Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) from the 2019-20 FAFSA. Graceland had 673 eligible students enrolled during Spring 2020. As of May 24, 2020, 668 students received grants totaling $393,700. As of October 29, 2020, 670 students received grants totaling $394,850.
Graceland staff continue to develop processes by which the remaining funds will be awarded through the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. These numbers have been updated as of 7/8, 8/22 and 10/29.
