Jessica Wallace, MA, ATC, LAT
Health and Movement Science Major Program Director Faculty
Jessica Wallace, EdD, ATC, LAT, is the health and movement science major program director faculty with Graceland's Health and Movement Science Division. She teaches primarily in the health and physical education concentrations. Wallace began her employment at the university in 2010 as an instructor and assistant athletic trainer. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in physical education and health from Northwest Missouri State University, Master of Arts in health, physical education and recreation with an emphasis in athletic training from University of Nebraska – Omaha, and Doctorate in health education from A.T. Still University. She is a first-generation college student in her family.
Jessica and her husband, Derek, are both Missouri natives (Jessica from small town NWMO and Derek from a suburb of St. Louis) and moved to Lamoni, Iowa, in 2010. They keep very busy with their three young children: son, Nolan, and twin daughters, Sylvia and Tennessee. Her hobbies include family bike rides and playing outdoors, coaching and attending kids sports programs, cooking, and growing her Tupperware business.
Wallace's favorite thing about teaching at Graceland is getting to know her students and watching them grow into the future professionals they become through their college years. Celebrating in the students’ accomplishments is a proud moment, and she feels fortunate to have the opportunity to witness and be a part of their success.
