Michael Prucha, MM, is adjunct woodwind instructor for Graceland University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Division of Visual and Performing Arts. He holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master of Music in Woodwind Studies and Artist’s Certificate from the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He is currently working toward a Doctorate in Oboe Performance at the UMKC Conservatory. Prucha performs as a woodwind doubler and has worked with the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Omaha Playhouse and Rose Children’s Theatre.


Prucha has worked as a substitute announcer and assistant music programmer at Classical 90.7 KVNO radio station in Omaha, Nebraska, since 2013 and hosted KVNO’s Modern Classics from 2017-18. He has studied oboe with Celeste Johnson, Barb Bishop, Jason Sudduth and Susan Tomkiewicz; saxophone with Zachary Shemon and Darren Pettit; clarinet with Jane Carl, John Klinghammer and Cynthia Nichols; flute with Mary Posses; and bassoon with Marita Abner.
