Woodwind Day - April 19, 2014

The Graceland Band Department will host the First Annual Woodwind Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Woodwind Day is geared to increase the awareness, education and appreciation for the woodwind instruments (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone) through master classes, rehearsals, recitals and a concert featuring all the workshops' participants.

Clinicians will include Dr. Mary Huntimer, Adjunct Professor of Woodwinds and Prof. Frank Perez, Director of Bands at Graceland University. Rieman Music from Des Moines, IA will bring instruments for students to play and tryout, as well as many books and supplies.

The Graceland Music Department invites middle school, high school and collegiate woodwind students to attend. Admission costs $10, which includes lunch. Register below! Sponsored by the DEKKO “Ignite Your Spark” Fund and Rieman Music & Graceland University.

Concert Performances will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014, in Carol Hall, Graceland University. Admission is free.
