What We Do

The Volunteer Center of Southern Iowa has a goal of empowering Southern Iowa communities to be caring and compassionate through volunteerism. We strive to help strengthening and support health, wellness, safety, and social services; meeting the needs of and expanding opportunities for our youth; and providing opportunities to strengthen community connectedness.

The Volunteer Center of Southern Iowa serves the following six counties:

VCSI provides volunteer support and resources for a variety of civic and charitable groups as well as not-for-profit organizations in Southern Iowa.

George H. W. Bush Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF) has allowed the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service to make funding available for the creation of new volunteer connector organizations such as the Volunteer Center of Southern Iowa.
