Communications
The Communications major prepares students to understand the cultural context of a complex world, to be innovative, to think critically about practical and theoretical questions, and to articulate their thinking creatively and accurately.

The communications major explores communication in interpersonal, group, organizational, intercultural, public address, and media contexts. In addition, students study the ethics of human communication and have the opportunity to apply their learning during internships and practicums.

Graduates may move either into further academic pursuits or directly into the job market. They excel in the study of law, graduate programs, and teaching. Graduates find careers in government, education, and business especially in the areas of human resources, advertising, public relations, and mass media.
