Music Education

Music Education

Music and Music Education are majors in Graceland University's Division of Fine Arts. These majors include studies in music theory and analysis, music history and literature, conducting and arranging, ensemble and individual performance, and courses in the teaching of instruments and voice. Upon completion of the teacher education program, music education majors who select either the K-12 or 7-12 track will be certified to teach music in Iowa.

The music laboratory supports course work by providing computer-assisted instruction in music theory, synthesis, composition and desktop publishing of professional quality manuscripts. Performance opportunities are available for majors and non-majors.
