Program Overview

Program Overview
The CCLP seeks to help students gain education in church leadership, along with developing skills and gaining experiences in a variety of different areas of ministry that can be used in various church leadership settings. The goal is to give students the tools necessary in providing leadership in local congregations and mission centers.

Academic

Students in CCLP are expected to complete a minor in Church Leadership. This minor gives students the opportunity to learn more about scripture, theology and church history.

For nursing students and others who complete only 2 years, there is a core of academic classes that must be taken in order to qualify for loan cancellation.

Experiential

Eight different ministry areas have been identified in order to help students develop their leadership and ministry skills.  Each student will be given the opportunity for training and experience in each of these areas of ministry throughout four years in the program.  Students will focus on one ministry area each semester.

Ministry Areas

The following is a list of areas of ministries that students will focus on throughout their four years in CCLP:

  • Children's & Youth Ministry
  • Discipleship Ministry
  • Worship Ministries
  • Missionary Ministries
  • Peace and Justice Ministry
  • Stewardship Ministries
