The Division of Health & Movement Science includes majors that relate to the health and well being of individuals within the context of social development. All the division majors are grounded in the liberal arts and incorporate theory with extensive internships, fieldwork and practical applications related to their specific disciplines. Graduates have entered careers in parks management, physical fitness training, coaching and teaching. Students may pursue graduate study in areas such as administration, education, physical therapy, counseling or social work.
Wellness Program Management majors meet the increased demand for individuals trained in the management of wellness programs. The major is built around a core of courses in health, science, recreation and exercise science. This academic preparation combined with an oustanding internship program prepares students for employment in business, industry, schools and hospitals.
