This program, often called a "bridge" program, offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to complete their BSN and MSN degrees via an accelerated process, saving up to 11 semester hours of course work. In this unique program, students are required to take only the graduate level Professional Development I and II, Advanced Pathophysiology, and Scientific Inquiry courses, rather than the undergraduate courses providing similar content.
Students who are enrolled in this program will have the option to "stop-out" and earn a BSN only if they desire. Also, all requirements for admission for the MSN program will be met prior to starting graduate level courses.
This program is available in two career options: Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator.
RN to MSN Family Nurse Practitioner
Complete both your BSN and your MSN-FNP through this successful accelerated program. This degree prepares you to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. A five day, on campus Focus Session is required for the BSN completion and up to two more on campus Focus Sessions may be required for completion of the MSN portion.
