Lamoni Campus

Our Campus At Lamoni

Lamoni is not your typical small town -- even though we are surrounded by rolling hills and Iowa cornfields. Lamoni is home to several well-known artists, two PDGA rated Disc Golf Courses, and a couple of great local bands. And if you get tired of local talent and spectacular sunsets, the big city is never far away. You can get to the restaurants, major league sports, and entertainment opportunities of Des Moines in just about an hour, Kansas City in less than two hours, and Omaha in around three. And just so you know, Lamoni has a few attractions of its own, like Choices, our local dance club and student hangout, and our six-mile bike trail.

The Lamoni Campus has:

  • 170 rolling acres
  • 1200 undergraduate students from 42 states and 31 nations
  • A 15:1 student-faculty ratio
  • An average class size of 25
  • A dedicated faculty, the majority of whom hold the highest degree in their field
  • Over 60 academic programs
  • A wide range of scholarships and grants
  • More than 45 student clubs
  • 17 varsity sports
  • 8 performing arts groups
  • Accreditation from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, National Council for Accreditations of Teacher Education, Iowa Department of Education, National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Missouri State Board of Nursing, and Iowa Board of Nursing
  • A community committed to providing an environment free of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs
