International Students Admissions

Who We Are

Graceland University is a private, liberal arts school in the heartland of America. It is in the middle of everywhere. Graceland's positioning in both academics and geography offers a unique opportunity to international students to pursue studies in a university environment while enjoying the best of the American heartland.

Applying to a university abroad can be daunting. Making a move to another country, be it for a semester or four years, is not easy. We at Graceland have a cadre of experienced international admissions counselors and staff to help you during each step of the process. Your questions may be answered via email, text, telephone, Skype, Facebook or other social media available to you. The GU admissions department wants to make sure you receive your information and have your questions answered quickly.

This page is created specifically to provide as many answers as possible to the most common questions our international students have or answers to questions that we believe you need to consider.

GU has a substantial international student enrollment, with students from Albania to Venezuela. For the 2013-2014 academic year, 114 students representing 32 countries are on campus pursuing their many academic areas of interest.

The International Programs Office, directed by Diana Jones, provides in-depth resources for students from all countries. The primary focus of the office is to help students adjust to life in the United States and at Graceland. This office serves as a liaison between international students, university offices, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), embassies, consolates and off-campus constituencies. It is an amazing and caring place for community and problem solving.

The CAP Center at Graceland works closely with students in advising them on a four-year graduation plan, saving the student time and money. The center works with students when it is time to look for internships, create resumes and to land jobs.
