2003 - Presents Assistant Professor, Director of Virtual Curriculum
Responsibilities included teaching online graduate level courses in the Quality Schools, Technology Integration and Collaborative Learning and Teaching programs. All courses were rich with integration of current and emerging technologies. Other duties involved supervising faculty associates, mentoring new faculty associates, serving on various University and departmental committees, designing courses, assisting in writing the program report for NCATE and providing service to the University through teaching orientations courses to new faculty associates. International Society for Technology in Education conference The World Wide Web is an excellent vehicle by which to present authentic technology experiences to teachers. Online workshops allow teachers to complete activities while examining Web-based resources and to log into a chat room for assistance, if problems are encountered.

October 28, 1998 Students as Designers of Instruction: \Videoconferencing on the WWW International Society for Technology in Education conference. Students in a senior level telecommunications class design instruction for their distance peers on installing and using videoconferencing for the class. These students gained valuable expertise in CUSeeMe and Internet Phone, in writing Web pages for instructional use..

October 28, 1998 Mirrored Learning: Preservice Teachers and Inservice Teachers Share the Experience

International Society for Technology in Education conference. A mentoring relationship is formed through e-mail that reveals the wealth of experience of inservice teachers and the innovative technology of preservice~ teachers. Throughout, collaboration roles are constantly changing. This enriches professional development for the while allowing the preservice teacher a window into the real world of teaching.

1997 -1998 Scott County Public Schools. Goals 2000 technology and education initiative to integrate technology with literacy curriculum. $500,000. Submitted by a team led by Marcine Ray. Funded. Responsibilities include: conducting workshops for elementary school teachers in process writing instruction, writing assessment and the integration of hypermedia/multimedia software into writing instruction for grades K-3: moderator of teacher-t9acher and teacher- trainer electronic discussion group: evaluation of teacher technology and literacy curriculum integration utilizing case study and research methods.
