Action Research
Action research projects are done as culminating activities for the Master's Degree in Collaborative Learning and Teaching and are comparable to completing a master's degree thesis. Action research is conducted by teachers with their own students within their own classrooms in order to improve teaching and ultimately student learning. The projects listed below were created by the graduate students from our Cedar Rapids cohort during the 2004 - 2005 school year.
Projects
"The Effects of Differentiated Instruction on Fifth Grade Gifted and Talented Students"
"The Effects of Using a Multisensory Approach to Improve Special Needs Students' Reading"
"A Study of Kindergarten and First Grade Special Education Students' Recall of Color Words"
