Program Admission and Participation Requirements
1. Bachelors degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale) study; or a graduate degree from an accredited institution. Offical transcripts must be approved.

2. Three letters of recommendation from person who can attest to the applicant's promise for graduate study.

Students are not required to meet the above requirements if they fall into one of the following categories:

a. Non-degree seeking students: Students with a baccalaureate degree, who intend to use courses for professional or personal advancement, but do not plan to complete the MAR degree, must obtain approval from the dean of the seminary and the course instructor.

b. Registered auditors: Students interested in participating in a course, but not pursuing it for a grade must obtain approval from the course instructor.

The graduate student must make satisfactory progress toward a degree. Satisfactory progress is defined as maintaining a grade point average of 3.0. Students failing to meet this requirement will be placed on academic probation. To be removed from the probation list, the student has to raise the grade point average to 3.0 during a succeeding term. A student placed on probation for two consecutive terms will be asked to withdraw from the degree-seeking program or change to non-degree status.

Transfer of Credits
Students transferring from other graduate institutions into the Master of Arts in Religion may request the transfer of a maximum of twelve hours of credit, provided that the courses transferred have equivalents in the Master of Arts in Religion curriculum and the grades in those courses are "B" or above. The request must be accompanied by an official transcript from the institution where the credit was earned.
Students transferring from other graduate institutions into the Master of Arts in Christian Ministries may request the transfer of a maximum of 12 hours of credit, provided that the courses transferred have equivalents in the Master of Arts in Christian Ministries curriculum and the grades in those courses are "B" or above. The request must be accompanied by an official transcript from the institution where the credit was earned.
