Division of Science and Math

We offer a unique background that will prepare you for careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic science, graduate school, and industry. The science and math facility has undergone a major renovation. We moved into our newly-named Resch Science and Technology Hall in the fall of 2009.

  • With donations from alumni and grant writing, we have recently purchased a wide array of scientific equipment. This equipment makes your lab experience top-notch.
  • Our placement record in professional programs and industry speaks to the success of our program.
  • Our recent graduates have been accepted to Ph.D. programs at the University of Wisconsin, Michigan, Purdue, and Utah. They have been accepted in programs ranging from Ecology to Chemistry. Our recent grads have been accepted into Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) programs at Creighton and the University of Iowa; Veterinary programs at the University of Minnesota, Iowa State, and the University of Missouri-Columbia; and Med School at KCUMB, the University of Kansas, and the University of Texas.
  • Our graduates have taken jobs as Zookeepers, Forensic Scientists, and Forensic Autopsy Technicians as well as scientists in industry.

Graceland is doubly fortunate to "get her" and "him" too. The Draves doctors have a powerful impact on Graceland’s future.

Coming to Graceland University was a last minute decision for Jalen Brown `17. He was offered a scholarship to play basketball for the university only a couple months before classes began. Brown says what really drove him to come to Graceland was the thought of being on his own, away from the big city lights of Chicago.
