Graceland University Accreditation

Graceland University is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (30 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois 60602-2504; 800-621-7440 (toll-free); http://www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org).


All teacher-education programs at GU are approved by the Iowa Department of Education. The Bachelor of Arts in Education and Masters in Education, Collaborative Teaching and Learning, Quality Education, and Special Education Programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE; 2010 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Suite 500, Washington, D.C. 20036; 202-466-7496; http://www.ncate.org).


GU nursing degree programs are approved by the Missouri (BSN programs only), and Iowa State Boards of Nursing. All GU nursing degree programs are nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE; One Dupont Circle NW, Suite 530, Washington, D.C. 20036; (http://www.aacn.nche.edu). 


The athletic training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education Programs (CAATE; 2201 Double Creek Drive, Suite 5006, Round Rock, Texas 78664; 512-733-9700; http://www.caate.net). These academic standards ensure that a degree from Graceland University is recognized by educational, business, and professional communities.
