PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2006-present Graceland University, Independence, MO
Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Master's of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner program. Responsible for teaching on-line courses in Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics, and Clinical Practicum courses. Overnight travel required to visit students in their clinical sites.

2007-present Samuel U Rodgers Health Center, Kansas City, MO
Advanced Practice Family Nurse Practitioner. Responsible for the primary care of family practice patients who are predominantly uninsured or have Medicaid.
Most clientele are multicultural and refugees. Responsible for completing client histories, physical exams, ordering diagnostic testing and formulating plans of care for pediatric and adult clients with acute and chronic health conditions.

2006-present Truman Medical Center, Network of Care, Grain Valley, MO

Certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner responsible for the specialized care of the dialysis patient. This includes rounding weekly on hemodialysis patients, completing history and physical exams, the assessment and treatment of associated co-morbid conditions including but not limited to Anemia, Secondary Hypoparathyroidism, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, electrolyte imbalances and access difficulties. Also worked with peritoneal dialysis patients.
