Graceland Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team Wins Regional Competition!

On Thursday, March 27, 55 students from Graceland University's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team traveled to Rogers, Arkansas, to compete in regional competition.  They won their league and will be going on to the national competition scheduled for May 13-15 in Chicago.   

The team is 80 students strong, representing 22 majors, 10 U.S. states, and 11countries.  They worked on 26 different projects directly impacting individuals on the Graceland campus, in our local community, across the country, and around the world.  Vice President of Academic Affairs Steve Anders traveled with the SIFE Director and Associate Director, Andy Simpson and Amy Dykens, and the team.  A large Graceland contingent was also on hand to cheer the team in Rogers.

Judges’ comments at regionals were very positive:

In 2006, Graceland’s SIFE team captured first place in the national competition.  They went on to represent the United States at the SIFE World Cup, where they earned first runner-up in international competition in Paris.
