Graceland Forever Capital Campaign - a resounding success!

Eight years ago our Board of Trustees fixed the university's course on the most ambitious capital campaign in our history. It was dubbed Graceland Forever. As 2007 drew to an end, the board voted to close out the campaign - nearly two years early - and deem it a resounding success.  The ambitious goal of raising $52 million during the two phases of the campaign, once a lofty aspiration, became a $60.9 million, 2008 New Year's reality. Click here to read news detailing our campaign and celebrations.

Christmas Card Competion - Graceland alumni and friends are invited to pick up their art supplies, capture their creative visions, and submit their designs to the Graceland Christmas Card Competition! There will be two categories for judging. One category will include Graceland themes, the other will feature winter and Christmas designs. Consider entering both categories! There is no limit to the number of entries and all ages and mediums are welcome!

Winners will be announced in the fall issue of the Horizons. Winning designs will be reproduced on Christmas cards and sold at Homecoming 2008. Proceeds will support fine art scholarships and art camps.

Submissions are due July 8, 2008 and scanned images may be sent to Randy Meline, Horizons Editor: meline@graceland.edu Good luck! We look forward to receiving your entry soon!
GoodSearch for Graceland Alumni Scholarship
GoodSearch: You Search...We Give! Alumni Board of Directors Promote a New and Easy Way to Give to Graceland. The board voted unanimously at their November meeting to encourage alumni and friends to raise money for Graceland Alumni Scholarships just by searching the Internet or shopping online with GoodSearch. Simply go to http://www.goodsearch.com and choose Graceland University Alumni Scholarship as your non-profit of choice. Every time a Gracelander uses this Yahoo-powered search engine, the university receives a penny. Who knows how significant this new fundraising tool could become? Let's all give it a try and find out!
