tnowlin@graceland.eduI am a 1989 graduate of Graceland with a double major in English Writing Communications & Theatre Communications with a minor in French. In 1996 I completed my MA in Philanthropy and Development through St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
In 1992 I married Graceland Alum, Bryan Nowlin ( Chiropractor in Lamoni) and we have three children.
After graduating Graceland I worked in the publishing field for 3 years. I then found my heart's vocation in fundraising with United Way of the Quad Cities. Working to build community and improving peoples lives was very satisfying at the end of each day. I knew I'd be involved with human development organizations for the rest of my life.
I have worked the last 5 years with Graceland University as Campus Director of American Humanics, instructing nonprofit management and leadership classes.
And, I continue my heart's work building community and human development through grant writing for Graceland. Helping to sustain and grow the community, that so nurtured me during my student years, is incredibly rewarding and enriching.
I am honored to serve as a part of Graceland University's Institutional Advancement Team.
