After graduating from Graceland in 1974, I was a social worker in the Kansas City area, then returned to Lamoni after marrying Jon Wallace, Professor of English. I worked in the F.M. Smith Library, went on to earn a M.S.W. from the University of Iowa, taught social work and psychology classes for several years, then moved to academics to become the director of the Career, Academic and Personal Counseling (CAP) Center.

Now as Director of Alumni Programs, I can tie together the many connections of my 26 years of working and teaching on the Hill. I love this University and the people who work here. Now I have the opportunity to work with the alumni and friends, both on and off campus, to remind them how much they love it, too.
