What do you hope to accomplish as Community Outreach Coordinator this year?  First and foremost, I hope to strengthen the existing relationship between the university and the Lamoni community.  Each group is empowered by the involvement of the other and it is important that the relationship continues to grow in a positive way.  We have a connection with each other that transcends any demographic differences.  Communication is the key to this desired cohesiveness.

I hope to improve the methods and mediums of communication used to inform and connect the university with the community.  This can and will lead to increased attendance at university events and be the precursor to significantly more students participating in community events.  It is also important that we listen to each others needs and ideas.  Our struggles and successes are intertwined so we must have a free exchange of thoughts and ideas. 

My goal for this year is simple.  Improve the already strong relationship between the university and the community.  It is my sincerest hope that interaction and participation among community members and students will mark the successes of this school year.
