How the CAP Center can help
Career Perspectives and the World of Work (CRPL1100)
A one credit-hour class designed to involve freshmen and sophomores in the early phases of career planning. The course involves self-exploration and career options. It is offered for one quarter every semester.

Career Cruising
A computerized, self-directed career exploration program that matches your skills and interests with possible majors and careers. It also has in-depth research on a large variety of careers.

Career Exploration and Career Path Practicum
Offered during Graceland’s three week Winter Term is an opportunity for students to shadow a sponsor in their place of employment to “try on” a career position. A great opportunity to take advantage of!

Individual Counseling
Usually conducted in conjunction with self-assessment tools like Career Cruising, the Self-Directed Search or the Myers-Briggs. A time to explore your interests and how they relate to major fields of study and career choices.

Career Reference Library
Located at the CAP Center, the Career Reference Library contains books, magazines, directories, and catalogues designed to help students explore different career fields. There are also listings of job and internship opportunities.
