• Homecoming Art Exhibits
  Graceland Galleries are presenting two painting exhibits during Homecoming weekend. In The Shaw Center Gallery, Alumni, Kristin Weuve Aulwes presents "Pretty, Dirty, Things." Join the artist for a reception on Friday evening, October 17th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Kristin's show will be in The Shaw Gallery through October 17th.

  The Constance Gallery, in the Helene Center, will feature the paintings of Bette Sellars, Graceland's own First Lady & Art Instructor. Bette's exhibit, "Smell the Roses" will be in the Helene Gallery through October 31st.

• Homecoming Weenie Roast
  This Saturday night at 8pm Campus Ministries is sponsoring a Weenie Roast on the Commons Lawn. We will provide the food, fire, and fellowship. Everyone is welcome!
• SIFE Business Plan Workshop
  Attend the Business Plan Workshop sponsored by GU SIFE Tuesday, October 14th – 7pm Heritage Chapel, Administration Building. $10,000 Prize for starting a business in Lamoni. • Rare Opportunities October 14th & 16th to Experience Multi-Cultural Artist
  Students will have two chances next week to experience one of the great multi-instrumental, solo artists touring America today. Todd Green performs with 30 string, flute and percussion instruments indigenous to countries around the world. His concerts are called "culturally eye-opening" by those who have seen him perform. He's coming to Lamoni (booked at the last minute) and his concerts will be free.

  He will perform twice: Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at our Shaw Center, and Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Coliseum Theatre downtown. At the Shaw Center performance Green will interact with the audience, and have some fun with GU music professor Jack Ergo with a lecture/talk back session - Ergo teaches ‘World of Music' at Graceland. You should experience this high-tech, one-man band who transforms his study of history, extensive multi-cultural experiences in the Middle East, Asia, South America and Africa, and unique improvisation genius into "A World of Music."

  Spread the word to your friends about the remarkable Todd Green concerts. See you there!

• Homecoming Activities for Children from 10:00 AM to Noon
  The Science and Mathematics Division and the Graceland Student Education Association (GSEA) invite children starting at age 3 to Homecoming Activities on Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 AM to Noon. Please have children come to the top floor of Zimmermann Hall for science activities and to 201Z for Busy Bees learning Centers and child care.Caregivers of 3-year-olds should plan to stay with children and other adults are welcome to participate.

  Children will enjoy intriguing science activities as well as crafts, refreshments, and centers. Centers will relate to the Homecoming theme and feature favorite movies of children. Please support this event if you have a child or want to bring a young friend.   Mark You Calendars! Clubs & Organizations Fair Thursday, Oct. 2, 6:00-7:30 pm, MSC Main Room. Wonder what’s going on at Graceland? This is a great opportunity to find out about the amazing clubs and organizations that can be found right on campus! Student involvement is critical to success and happiness at the college level. This is a great opportunity to meet folks with similar interests and to GET INVOLVED ON CAMPUS!
