"I'm back" could be the first thing you say about me returning to my fundraising and recruitment work for Graceland University. Many of you know that I have crossed Canada visiting homes of Canadians to invite their young adults to experience Graceland and in doing so raised the numbers from 9 on campus when I began in 1993 to over 80 currently.

Many of you do not know about my development experience. I left my automotive business after 20 years and helped in the launch of the Camp Quality in Canada. I brought on some corporate sponsors and key individuals. Camp Quality was able to make it through significant growing pains to a point where it is now an independent organization with four camps across Canada.

I also helped with the reactivation of the Graceland Canadian Foundation and have served on that board for over 15 years. When a major injection of funds was needed to facilitate the growing numbers of Canadians attending the university, I initiated a million dollar quasi endowment with the Shaw Family Foundation. Over the years the Board of Directors of the Graceland Canadian Foundation first consisted of parents of past students. Today, that board consists primarily of students that I have been able to recruit to Graceland. Many have gone on to excellent careers because of the level of education they received at Graceland.

All of this would not be possible without the support of donors like you who choose to make a difference in the lives of these young adults by recommending them and choosing to help them financially. Many of you are able to see the big picture and make it possible for other young adults to get the high level of education and experience that Graceland offers. I look forward to some great years ahead interacting with those of you who truly express the "The Graceland Difference."
