| Performance Improvement Program Drake University - Served as a consultant and contributor for the
Performance Improvement Program grant. The focus of the grant was to develop a state-wide mentoring
program to help teachers and administrators to be prepared for the current and future demands of the K-
12 educational environment. Technology Literacy Challenge Fund - Member of state team which proposed and received a National Technology Literacy Challenge Fund grant ($1,400,000) to help provide technology access to Iowa students falling under the poverty line. The grant funded twenty-five building level technology projects. TESS Database - Proposed and received a segment ($25,000) of a National Star Schools Grant ($5,000,000) awarded to the State of Iowa. Used to license The Education Software Selector (TESS) database for the State of Iowa. Placed the database on the Iowa Department of Education web site and coordinated the management and dissemination of the product with Iowa’s Area Education Agencies. Technology Pilot School - Member of a state team which proposed and received a segment ($250,000) of a National Star Schools Grant ($5,000,000) awarded to the State of Iowa. Used to establish a technology pilot school at Ames High School, Ames, IA. Three year program (1997-2000) will produce models for staff development, technology integration, assessment, and reporting of district data. |
