Welcome To Graceland University's Instructional Technology Services and STA+
Instructional Technology Services' mission is to enhance the educational experience of Graceland University students by providing leadership, support and quality customer service to the faculty, staff students and administration through effective implementation of Audio/Visual services and computer software training and troubleshooting.
What do we do?
We provide training one-on-one or in groups for all Microsoft Office applications and related software. Training for PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is what we do best. We also train people how to electronically scan photographs and incorporate graphics into Web pages or PowerPoint presentations. We help faculty create and maintain their on-line course material through eCollege and eCompanion. We help faculty learn how to use their new computers more productively. We help faculty, students and staff learn how to use the available technology to become more efficient and creative.
STA+ will also perform Audio Visual (AV) setups and training for faculty, students and staff. We move AV equipment around campus when needed.
When are we available?
Every effort has been made to make the STA+ representatives available from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday. Our telephone numbers are 641-784-5400 for the STA+ office or 641-784-5467 for Dr. Ron Ellis. Our email addresses are sta@graceland.edu or ellis@graceland.edu. Ask for special one-on-one help or watch for advertised workshops. The Director of Instructional Technology is Dr. Ron Ellis. You can contact him at the office number listed above or on his cell phone, 641-442-5932.

Come here often as the offerings change daily.
What is the STA+ Program?
STA+ stands for Student Technology Assistance Plus. We are a group of student work assignees dedicated to helping faculty, students and staff with their technology and Audio Visual needs. Click on the logo above to check our database to see if your setup is scheduled. Our overriding question is, "What do you want to be able to do?" and we seriously want to be able to help you become more self-sufficient in the world of technology.
What is GEMS
You may have noticed the word GEMS printed or painted on AV equipment around campus. GEMS stands for Graceland Educational Media Services. GEMS is a division of STA+. This office is responsible for the Educational Media Services equipment on Graceland Campus. Ron Ellis and the STA+ Group are here to meet your Media Services needs. In other words, we are here to ask the same question as above, "What do you want to be able to do?" We have equipment for your use and will deliver, set up, and train you how to use it. It is our interest to see you succeed in having a quality presentation. Follow the link above for more information about GEMS.
